James Fearn may have handed out more than just suckers and chocolate bars on Halloween night -- he suspects his wedding ring got dropped into a trick-or-treater's bag.
Fearn and Patricia, his wife of 35 years, spent the evening handing out candy in their west-end Glenwood neighbourhood. When Fearn noticed his ring was gone, his heart dropped. They searched everywhere to no avail.
"It's nothing fancy, but it's got a lot of memories," Fearn said, adding he moved his yellow and gold band to his right pinkie not long ago after his left hand swelled up from an injury.
Now he is hoping the kids in their area will take a look through their bags to see if they can find the cherished ring and contact police if they do.
