    City Hall had to be locked down friday after a suspicious man claimed to have a package for the mayor. He was quickly arrested by police, who were in the area for the Stampede parade. He apprently drove his car up to the doors of City Hall and demanded to see the mayor. A baseball bat was also found near his vehicle.

    A forty eight year old man who was stabbed Friday morning and rushed to hospital has died. Police say the stabbing happened at a home in Ogden just before 8am. Another man, also in his forties, had to be taken to hospital with less serious injuries. Three suspects, two males and a female, fled the home in a K-car type vehicle. Two have since been arrested. One of the suspects is known to police.

    Bright, sunny skies and warm temperatures helped draw massive crowds to the annual Calgary Stampede parade Friday morning. An estimated 300,000 people lined downtown streets to catch the marching bands and floats.     An Australian man has died after falling from a peak in K-country. RCMP say the 24-year-old was scrambling up Mount Kidd Thursday afternoon when he fell about 50 metres. A second man was safely lifted off of the mountain by helicopter. The dead man's remains were recovered from the mountain and his relatives have been notified.
