Bullying is not simply a “normal” part of growing up. It’s a serious issue, made more complex by technology that allows bullies to pursue their victims at school, around town, and into their homes.

Each fall Carberry potato growers advertise for harvest help. Rick and Jackie Davison "hit the jackpot" when a young Japanese lady, Masako Yamazoe, applied. Masako (26), a nurse from Veda (pop 120,000) near Yokahama, was on a world adventure and had never been on a farm.
End of an Era? Each year, as part of our annual cattle operation, we have held a cattle drive. Although it is a lot of work, there is something to be said for “doing things the traditional way.” It looks as if that tradition may no longer be viable for us or other Manitoba cattle producers.
